Control roller shutters by dawn and dusk. Astro function.
Your Premium gateway calculates the dawn and dusk without additional sensors and can thus open and close your shutters appropriately throughout the year. If you use this function, you will never need to adjust switching times again, because the summer/winter time changeover is also taken into account.
💡 Note
We use the so-called civil twilight as a basis for calculation. This occurs approximately 30 minutes before sunrise or 30 minutes after sunset. You can still adjust these values via the offset.
Despite all calculations you still have the possibility to define when your shutters open at the earliest and close at the latest.
We will explain in detail how to create the two necessary routines.
Example 1: Open the shutters in the living room by astro time.
- Open the Routines section in your HOMEPILOT App and click on the plus sign in the upper right corner.
- Enter a suitable name and optionally a description.
- Click Add Event and select Dawn (Astro).
- Under other settings you can define the earliest and latest times at which your shutters should be opened. You can also use the offset to shift the calculated twilight. If the shutters open too early for you, you can set + 20 minutes here, for example. Then you go back one step with the arrow in the upper left corner.
- Now you can select which shutters should be opened with this routine. To do this, click on Add/Remove Elements at the very bottom. Simply click on the desired devices and then go back one step.
- You can now set a destination for each element. The selected target is displayed to the right of the device. For opening, 0% or OPEN should be displayed here. Of course, you can also specify other targets, for example, if you do not want to open your shutters completely.
- You can now go back so many steps until you are in the normal view.
Example 2: Closing shutters in the living room by astro time
You can create the second routine for closing the shutters in the same way as described above. You would then only have to select the dusk (Astro) as event and select 100% or Down for the target of the devices.
