Range - Routing - addZ LED Smart bulbs
Range
Depending on the local conditions and the type of lampholder, ranges of up to 30m are possible in practice.
The position of the Premium gateway also plays a role.
When selecting the installation location of the Premium gateway, you should consider the following points.
- Look for a central location in your household to ensure an optimal connection to your devices.
- Avoid a location near metallic surfaces or objects. If possible, you should avoid a location in the basement.
- Since electronic devices may also cause interference, you should keep a certain distance.
Routing
The addZ LED Smart bulbs work with the Zigbee radio standard 3.0. With the Zigbee radio standard, the commands are automatically forwarded by all light sources if no direct radio connection can be established to the device to be controlled. The network organizes itself completely automatically.
IMPORTANT:
Only the light fixtures that are directly registered to the Premium gateway will help with routing. If you use for example Philips Hue or IKEA Tradfri lamps, they have to be registered directly to the Premium gateway. You should make sure that you have one big Zigbee network and not many small ones.
Please note that devices will only organize themselves automatically (set alternative routes in the wireless network) if they are supplied with 230Volt. For example, if a light fixture is turned off by a light switch, it will not be able to specify alternative routes for other light fixtures accordingly.
Note:
DuoFern products do not support the routing of addZ products, because they work with a different radio protocol.
