Control roller shutters by dawn and dusk. Astro function.
Your Premium gateway calculates dawn and dusk without additional sensors and can thus open and close your roller shutters appropriately all year round. If you use this function, you will never need to adjust the switching times again, because the summer/winter time changeover is also taken into account.
💡 Note
We use the so-called civil twilight as a basis for calculation. This occurs approximately 30 minutes before sunrise and 30 minutes after sunset. You can still adjust these values via the offset.
Despite all the calculations, you still have the option of specifying the earliest time at which your shutters open and the latest time at which they close.
We will explain in detail how you can create the two necessary routines.
Example 1: Open the roller shutters in the living room by astro time.
- Call up the Routines area in your HOMEPILOT App and click on the plus sign at the top right.
- Enter a suitable name and optionally a description.
- Click on Add Event and select Dawn (Astro).
- Under Other settings you can define the earliest and latest times at which your roller shutters should be opened. You can also use the offset to shift the calculated twilight. If the shutters open too early for you, set + 20 minutes here, for example. Then go back one step with the arrow at the top left.
- Now you can select which shutters are to be opened with this routine. To do this, click on Add/Remove Elements at the very bottom. Simply click on the desired devices and then go back one step.
- You can now set a target for each element. The selected destination is displayed to the right of the device. For opening, 0% or UP should be displayed here. Of course, you can also set other targets, for example, if you do not want to open your shutters completely.
- You can now go back as many steps as necessary until you are in the normal view.
Example 2: Closing the shutters in the living room by astro time
You can create the second routine for closing the shutters in the same way as described above. You would then only have to select dusk (Astro) as the event and select 100% or Down for the destination of the devices.
