HOMEPILOT App Step 3: Register devices on the Premium gateway. Activate login mode.
To be able to control your devices via the app, they must be registered once with the Premium gateway.
This is easily done by opening your HOMEPILOT App and then clicking on the small plus sign in the Devices section at the top right.
Then you can click on Start to activate the login mode of the gateway. The login mode is active for about 15 minutes.
There are different procedures depending on which device you want to register.
Registering our smart devices:
For our smart devices such as belt winders, roller shutter motors, timers or remote controls, you must now activate the login mode. You can do this either on the device itself or by entering a radio code, which motors and flush-mounted receivers have, for example.
The easiest way to find out more about registration is to search here in the Service Centre for the term registration mode and the name of the device.
Registering ONVIF cameras:
ONVIF cameras are automatically found in the network without having to start a login mode on the camera. However, depending on the camera manufacturer, you may need to create an ONVIF user before the camera can be found.
Registering Zigbee devices: (you need an addZ Stick for Premium gateway)
Your addZ or Zigbee lamps or adapter plugs must simply be switched on and in the factory state. As soon as the login mode is activated on the Premium gateway, the devices will be found.
Philips Hue Bridge registration:
If you have a Philips Hue Bridge, the gateway will find it immediately. You only have to press the button on the Hue Bridge once to confirm.
