The Smart roller shutter motor premium stops for no apparent reason between the end points?
If the end points on the Smart roller shutter motor premium are set correctly but the motor then stops several times between the end points, one of the following points may be the cause.
1. Adapter has slipped off the magnetic ring:
The tubular motor uses a magnetic ring to check the revolutions of the shaft during travel and compares these with the revolutions of the motor.
If the adapter has slipped off the magnetic ring during assembly, the magnetic ring does not rotate with it and the motor stops. The motor must be completely inserted into the winding shaft with the adapter.
2. The obstacle detection responds even though there is no obstacle.
The Smart roller shutter motor premium has a powerless obstacle detection. If during the descent it is detected that the motor is turning but the shaft is stationary, the motor switches off.
Possible cause:
Roller shutter too light:
If the roller shutter is very light and, in addition, the guidance is not ideal, it may happen that the roller shutter does not "slide down" by itself
Solution:
- Check the roller shutter mechanism, roller shutter guide, inlet funnel and look for possible damage.
- If necessary, weigh down the lowest roller shutter slat (for example with a flat iron).
- Set the upper end point a few centimetres lower so that more weight is pulled down when the motor starts.
- The motor's driver can be mounted without freewheeling in order to bypass the obstacle detection. To do this, the motor must be removed and the driver can be dismantled and refitted without the freewheel.
- If you control the Smart roller shutter motor premium via the Premium gateway, you can switch off the obstacle detection completely via the software.
The winding shaft may be installed very tightly.
The Smart roller shutter motor premium works with a freewheel driver. The roller shutter motor is not rigidly connected to the shaft, but must be able to be turned slightly back and forth by approx. 20°. If the shaft has been installed too tightly, the freewheel may be blocked as a result.
Solution:
- Loosen the roller capsule and insert it approx. 2-3 mm further into the winding shaft. Then fix the roller capsule with a small screw.
3. Thermal protection:
If the roller shutter motor has been operated several times within a short period of time, the Smart roller shutter motor premium may have switched off via the thermal protection. The roller shutter motor has a short operation (KB) of 4 minutes.
Solution:
- Allow the shutter motor to cool down for approx. 30 minutes.
4. Incorrectly calibrated:
In some cases, the roller shutter motor may have calibrated itself incorrectly.
Solution:
- Perform a reset of the Smart roller shutter motor premium. Reset instructions
